High-Frequency Oscillations biomarker

High frequency oscillations (HFOs) have been proposed as a new biomarker for epileptogenic tissue. NBT includes the algorithm for detection of HFO events described in the article Human Intracranial High Frequency Oscillations (HFOs) Detected by Automatic Time-Frequency Analysis by Burnos et al, PLOS ONE, 2014 (doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0094381, link to article). If you use this algorithm please cite this paper.

The algorithm is in the function nbt_doHFO

Example:

30 sec of recording from human ECoG, recording channel is HL1-HL2, which corresponds to bipolar montage from two electrodes placed at hippocampus left for more details, refer to publication, data taken from patient 1
